The New Pangaea Movement is the beginnings of what will hopefully become a global social movement. Our hope is that through it we can begin to reunite humanity on some basic levels and make all of our differences a positive thing instead of the negative light that is shed on them by so many people in this world. Through that we hope that all of humanity will find itself more welcome to the ideas of acceptance, understanding, compassion, and a united humanity. Thus, New Pangaea, a metaphor of all the seperated people of the world reuniting.

To achieve that, our first step will be to create a good number of the New Pangaean flag that members of the movement can hang in front of their house, in their window, on their apartment door, anywhere, to let others know that they are a part of New Pangaea, and that their home is welcome shelter and company to others, and that the hosts agree with and practice the ideals of the movement. The flag will also aid those who have their home open to travellers and guests but do not know how to tell those on the street that their home is welcome to any. If the host is worried of the flag attracting someone who may be trying to take advantage or harm the movement, he or she is welcome to refuse entry on the basis of self-preservation, or ask them for a keyword, gesture, or handshake that will be closely guarded from those outside the movement. Not so much to create more division, but to help the movement through the first hours of its being in this still very divided and dangerous world. Of course we would prefer it if hosts allowed anyone entry, but we understand that right now that may not be the safest venture. We hope that in time we will not have to worry about that at all, and that humanity has found security in the arms of their fellow brothers and sisters.

As the movement progresses, more steps may be taken to achieve a united humanity, but as it stands if we can achieve this one process all over the world, in thousands of homes, with millions able to recognise the New Pangaean flag, we will have done much to help the world. We also hope that the movement will draw more people to its ideals, and give each person pause and make them look inside to see if anything in their life could be changed for the better, to help their fellow humans, and treat them like they would themselves.
